Two Boxes
I have in my hands two boxes,
Which God gave me to hold.
He said, ‘Put all your sorrows in the black box,
And all your joys in the gold.’
I heeded His words, and in the two boxes,
Both my joys and sorrows I stored,
But though the gold became heavier each day,
The black was as light as before.
With curiosity, I opened the black,
I wanted to find out why,
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole,
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.
I showed the hole to God, and mused,
‘I wonder where my sorrows could be! ‘
He smiled a gentle smile and said,
‘My child, they’re all here with me..’
I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,
Why the gold and the black with the hole?
‘My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,
The black is for you to let go.’

Diary 01: Hello, Little One.

I had a very long day last Sunday. Tiring but I would say, it was one of those well spent day. I’ve never been really opened to anyone before but yesterday, I got to be more comfortable speaking about what I feel towards the people around me. Thank God, for such wonderful day.
The fact that I was really really tired the previous day didn’t stop me from picking up my camera right after work the next day to take some photographs outside. And since my niece seemed to be in a good mood to be a model, I grabbed the opportunity to take some photographs of her. I love this little one so dearly, that I’m really excited to see her grow, doing the things she would come to love in the next few years. Just thinking about it makes me feel more excited. Tehee~
Today was such a busy day. I seriously need a companion in my department. My whole being was screaming HELP the whole day. Yes, in capital letters.
P.S. I was writing an entry yesterday for this photograph via iPod, then the little traitor suddenly died on me. Nice, very very nice. So yeah, my original entry was gone. :/
Washy wishy!

Yesterday, I went to the city after work to pick up some craft materials and look what I’ve found while strolling down my favorite stationary shop? Yes, washi tapes!!! You know how much I love washi tapes, see my DIY washi tape tutorial. I only got them for only P50 for 3, BTW. Cheaper than the ones you can find online. I will surely pick up some more in my next visit! The other two are fabric tapes though. Ugh! I love tapes, you see. :>

And tadaa~ Decorated my iPod case just because I don’t see anything around that I can decorate with it as of now other than my iPod. Haha!

Random: This is the current state of my working table.

And say hello to my working corner~ I was thinking of putting up some prints of my photographs on the wall, but I always having a hard time picking what to put up in there. So it always ended up not being done. So me. :P
On other news, I won’t be able to attend the Summer Youth Camp 2013, and yes, I was really really excited about it. But because of work, I CANNOT! :( But I will surely visit them on the last day though. Well, atleast. :) Happy face wins! ^^
“…One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead” (Philippians 3:13, NIV)
In order to move forward in life, we have to “let go of the past.” But have you ever wondered exactly how to do that? First, understand that we take hold of things in our minds with our thoughts. Our thoughts become words and actions that determine the direction of our lives. It’s that simple. If you want to choose a new direction for your life, you have to choose new thoughts. If you want to let go of the past, you have to quit thinking about it, quit talking about it, and quit reliving every negative experience.
Oftentimes, when we see someone who has hurt us, that pain and offense is stirred up, and we start thinking about what happened again. But in that moment, you have a choice to make. One of the best things you can do, instead of rehearsing the hurt, is to pray for that person and speak blessing over them.
Remember, forgiveness is for you. Letting go of bitterness is for you. Don’t let the past hold you back from what God has in store for your future any longer. Get past the past by choosing right thoughts because God has victory and blessing in store for your future!
Our Little Princess
Meet my niece, Princess. I don’t actually like her name but her mom chose it so yeah.. But I love her! She was born in Korea, on Christmas Eve. I personally would love to call her, Elle, for Noelle (Noel/Christmas), but I’m not the mom so I couldn’t do anything about it. Sad. :/
Anyway, she just came last Saturday. Everyone’s still excited about her homecoming, and I must say, she brings joy to us. Especially to my mother. And, my father is really excited to come home this Saturday to see her. Yay~ Double happiness! My papa’s coming home! :)
Flew to tomorrow!

Earlier, after Church, we went to Harbor Point in Subic to see The Croods. If you still didn’t know, there is only one Cinema House and Balanga City, and you have to wait for a week or two to see the movie you’ve been waiting for. *facepalm* But then, I was happy that they did show “It Takes a Man and a Woman” on time. Haha~
I missed Subic! I’ve always wanted to have a Summer House in Subic Bay. Dreams do come true, yes? :P

Here we go Mr. Cinema, that everyone loves. <3

Ate Alma and Dha buying tickets and filling up seats.

My significant numbers! 2 and 4, that’s right 24!

I love THE CROODS! This is one of those animation movie that you will always go back to. I love everything about it. Even the unrealistic creatures and strength of the Croods, their personalities. EVERYTHING! Plus the graphics is so awesome, I was in awe. This movie is a must see! Highly recommended! And yeah, I kinda fell in like with Guy. He’s really the Guy! Haha~ <3
Chasing Rainbows.
It seems that they’ve always got rainbows up in the North. I rarely see rainbows around my place. Sad.
La Union / May 2012
Feel the ocean air.
Light eyes ill set sweetly in the brisk rose that fades away with the rising tide. Light eyes sing passion like water singing over rocks. Love laced lips find fragile hopes kiss mine. Cast a faithful shadow beneath the trees as I read these words through the sky. The summer breeze blows through light eyes hair like wind through the grass. Light eyes glows like the sun in the ocean air. He walks down this crystal runway while I tell my clamoring heart to stay shut, and light eyes speaks and it is like music you have never heard. I look into these light eyes and he looks into mine as these breaths become hollow and heart sings.

Catching Light

It’s hard for me to find my way. Alone and lost and without a light. Lately I’ve been running in circles, trying to find my way in the night. The light is what keeps me warm, it helps me make it through the day. Now I’m so cold all the time, please warm me, you know the words to say. I’m trying to be the light for everyone, the pressure will make me crack. It’s impossible to do alone when I’m out here in the black.
Everlasting, never ending, You will reign forevermore…

You shine like a million suns ablaze, wrapped in eternal light and praise. Jesus the First, the Last, the bright and morning Star…
I’m inlove with this song. I think I love it more than I love Oceans. Superb worship song is superb! :)
In other news, I’ll be attending the Butch Charvet Fund Raising Concert this coming Sunday. So okay, I know you didn’t know him, but I grew up listening to his music. (Papuri Songs) My brothers and I were really really a fan of him since a decade ago. I’m really excited to see him again, sitting in there, being happy watching him. Heh~

And btw, last Monday, we went to Raon to buy a new sound equipment for our Church. All thanks to Ptr. Jerry, he knows the place really well and we’ve got to buy all the things we needed knowing that our budget wasn’t that big. Truly, God is The Jehovah Jireh; Great Provider. It was really amazing, believe me! So, me ish really excited for the practice. Yeah boy, let’s rock it on for Jesus!!! :)
Don’t do something because it makes sense, do it because it feels right.

Anonymous asked: You, Anne & Jay are like the big 3 for me when it comes to layouts! You playing with pastels, fancy elements and tiny fonts, Anne the minimalistic w/ grey, white & pink shades, & Jay who’s a sucker for minimalism too with a bunch of colors in exclusion mode! I thought that I was the only one who noticed about the headers! Well Anne made that as a branding when she started her new blog `coz of ze ‘stick’ and for you, you just fancy it. Ow, did I just left a critic? :DD Keep up you guyz! Aww..
Thank you! You’re such a sweetie.. :) As a matter of fact, Anne and Jay were such an inspiration to me since back then when it comes to designing, alongside with the other designers who share the same ‘taste’ as mine. But in the blogging world, those two are my favorites. And I love them both so dearly. ♥
Anonymous asked: Nice theme & your pages are broken.
Freebies and Faq section are under construction. Sorry. :P
Anonymous asked: I noticed that your header is similar with iamstickthin’s, the leaf & flower around the texts.. so as dancewithjay, it has leaves! Is this trending? Why oh why?
Actually it has been and still is! Hahaha~ A lot of designers are inlove with floral and whimsical designs. And I think, Jay, Anne and I were all caught by it. Hihi! Take care! :D
Anonymous asked: How’d you made those ribbon like banner in your recent post (dare to dream text in it)? Please make a tutorial :( I love your theme btw.
I just used a pentool in making them. But, uhm, yeah, I’ll try! And thank you! :)
I am using a Canon Kiss X3 (Canon 500d). ^^
